We use names like small, medi­um, and large to describe our siz­ing because it’s easy to under­stand, but our ultra-low stan­dovers and clear­ance for long drop­pers give you the abil­i­ty to size based on reach.

What’s bet­ter than a drop­per post? A longer one. Our frames are designed to accom­mo­date the longest drop­per posts pos­si­ble. Rid­ers over 5’8 (or 173cm) can eas­i­ly run a 185mm drop­per post, while folks between 5’ and 5’8 (152cm — 172cm) can use a post 125mm or longer depend­ing on inseam length.

Reduced-off­set forks give the front wheel greater sta­bil­i­ty at speed and an addi­tion­al sense of steadi­ness at slow speeds too. Since the HD5 is designed to excel in tech­ni­cal, demand­ing ter­rain, we went with a reduced off­set fork that gives that extra bit of con­fi­dence and con­trol in the most chal­leng­ing situations.

Inter­nal cable rout­ing used to be a pain but our inter­nal tubes make rout­ing easy. Just pop the hous­ing through and it comes out the oth­er end, no need for swear words or a pick­set. It’s clean and easy. As it should be.

It’s all about the lit­tle details. To keep your bike look­ing and per­form­ing at its best, we’ve for­ti­fied the upper piv­ot with a steel guard and added a plas­tic fend­er about the low­er link. The HD5 also ships with a poly­car­bon­ate down­tube pro­tec­tor and mold­ed rub­ber swing arm protectors.
